Care and use instructions

Care instructions:

GOLFYR products are made using a high-tech multi-material compound. This enables the products to boast unique performance features, but also means they require special care. Please read these care instructions carefully and follow them when using our products.

Clean your golf clubs after each round:

Remove coarse dirt such as soil and sand using a cloth or soft brush with plastic bristles. Dry the golf clubs thoroughly using a soft, dry cloth.

Thorough clean (club head, shaft, grip):

Clean the entire club with mild soapy water, then wipe with a cloth or soft brush and rinse under clean running water. Finally, dry thoroughly using a clean, dry cloth.

Additional advice:

Moisture combined with salt or alkaline and acidic environments can cause metal parts to corrode at an accelerated rate. For this reason, clubs should always be cleaned of soil, rinsed under running water and rubbed dry. Clubs should also always be rinsed under running water and rubbed dry before storage if you have been playing close to bodies of salt water.

Special coating:

The protective metal surface on the front and base of the club heads is treated with a special coating, which also hardens the material. If you use your club in bunkers and/or on very hard ground, the coating may peel off over time, but this will not affect the club’s performance. The same type of wear can also occur if there is sand or dirt on the striking surface that was not removed before striking.

Shaft and grip:

The shaft and grip can be cleaned using mild soap and rinsed with clean water. After that, they can be rubbed dry with a cloth and kept in a bag. Grips should be replaced every two to three years at the latest. If you play golf regularly, you should replace your grip more frequently.

Storage:

Clubs should always be stored in your golf bag with the club heads protected by the covers provided. Never store your clubs while wet or in highly humid conditions.

Extreme temperatures can negatively impact the mechanical properties of the carbon. Clubs must not be placed next to strong heat sources such as heaters, ovens or in cars in direct sunlight. In general, do not expose your clubs to heat above 80°C or cold below -10°C.

Instructions for use:

Only swing golf clubs when you are at a safe distance from people and obstacles. A broken shaft can cause injuries; inspect your clubs regularly for any breakage.

If you are on a round or outdoors for any other reason and a thunderstorm is approaching, get to safety immediately and refrain from using your golf clubs until it passes. The club shafts are conductive, presenting a risk of electrocution.

Each golf club should only be used in the appropriate game situation. A putter is only suitable for putting on and around the green and should never be used for long shots or tee shots.

Our golf clubs are not designed to hit any objects apart from golf balls.

Take care when pulling golf clubs out and stowing them in your golf bag to avoid unnecessary strain and the risk of damaging the clubs.

The head cover supplied should be replaced after every shot to ensure the club is protected from external influences at all times.

GOLFYR products must be replaced or repaired via a GOLFYR service branch unless you simply need a new grip.
